Transat Classique Preparation

 

The weekend of the 1st March saw the crew of Infanta undertake their ISAF Offshore Sea Survival and First Aid courses. Many thanks to the staff at KTY Yachts for an excellent course … plus their patience and allowing us to have a laugh whilst dealing with a serious subject. We would seriously encourage any race crews to undertake similar courses as this was great for team building and crew morale. Full images from the weekend can be seen in the gallery. We didn’t leave Tim in the upturned life raft……  although it was tempting….

Fitting out Infanta

 

Infanta is currently at Attrill & Sons boatyard in St Helen’s Isle of Wight for a comprehensive fit-out prior to the 2008 sailing season. The race schedule for 2008 will see her compete in various UK Classic Yacht Regatta’s prior to taking part in the Transat Classique, the 1st transatlantic race for classic yachts, which will take her from Douarnenez in Brittany via Agadir in Morocco before reaching St Barths in the Caribbean in time for Christmas, we hope!
